From October to December 2008 the Pousada Convento de Belmonte, an ARTEH® Hotel, presents the Mushroom Festival, organized by Chef Valdir Dudek Lubave. For the Pousada guests, Chef Valdir Dudek Lubave will teach mushroom secrets through sessions of how to pick, prepare and cook mushrooms. Among the various delicacies we highlight the mushroom Capuccino with a foam of aromatic herbs picked in the convent garden, the fresh cod with sautéed potatoes and Agaricus beurre blanc, as well as the grilled veal cutlets with Morquela esculent, finishing with the delicious thin slices of fresh pineapple with Boletus edulis and nutmeg ice-cream and porcino liqueur or forest mushroom and spice spirit, all of this prepared specially for you.
