From the 10th to the 18th of January 2009 the third edition of the International Gourmet Festival: "Tribute to Claudia" will take place at the Vila Joya, an ARTEH® Hotel in Albufeira - Guia in the Algarve.

This festival is organized exclusively by the Vila Joya team and is a tribute to Claudia Jung, the hotel founder, and to 25 years of excellence. It is considered one of the best and biggest gastronomical events in Portugal. 
 
During eight nights, the resident Chef Dieter Koschina, awarded with two Michelin stars, will receive in the Vila Joya kitchen several international renowned Chefs, themselves distinguished with Michelin stars. Each Chef will present his author menu including at least seven dishes combined with several wine suggestions. 

In this edition a “Portuguese Night” was prepared which boasts as a special guest Chef Albano Lourenço, the only Portuguese Chef awarded a Michelin star.

Day 10 – Albano Lourenço, 1 star on the Michelin Guide.
Day 11 – Thomas Neeser, 1 star on the Michelin Guide.
Day 12 – Koschina and Friends (a luxury night with the usual meeting of stars in which Dieter Koschina´s several guests prepare an exclusive menu).
Day 13 – Jacob Jan Boerma, 2 stars on the Michelin Guide.
Day 14 – Thomas Bühner, 2 stars on the Michelin Guide.
Day 15 – Marc Meneau, 2 stars on the Michelin Guide.
Day 16 – Nils Henkel, 3 stars on the Michelin Guide.
Day 17 – Andoni Anduriz, 2 stars on the Michelin Guide.
Day 18 – Juan Amador, 3 stars on the Michelin Guide.

During the year Chef Dieter Koschina is responsible for the Vila Joya restaurant, which in 2007 was considered the restaurant with the Best Wine List.  Together with his team Chef Dieter Koschina, Chef Matteo Ferrantino, Sommelier Arnaud Vallet and Head Waiter Paulo Lux, they provide customers daily with gastronomical experiences that are impossible to miss!
