In a different policy from its British partner, Iberia is going to introduce, starting the next 1st of March, a new system for service on board, in economic class, following the LCC pattern, which means it will start to charge for the food and beverages served on board, by the passengers’ request.

Among the companies that, having not yet totally assumed the LCC service but using it in some routes, Iberia follows, in this way, the steps taken in 2003 by Swiss as far as this matter is concerned.

Meanwhile, facing an average occupation of 75% in 2003 and a third trimester with particularly positive results, Iberia predicts that it will be able to announce the best results among the most viable European air companies.
