TAP returns to Natal
04 Feb 2004

TAP Air Portugal is going to reinforce its connections with Brazil, starting to fly three times a week between Lisbon and Natal. The aim is to satisfy the increase in European demand for that South American country. TAP, which has already operated to Natal between 1999 and 2001, is sure of a positive answer from the market, since it can now also offer this destination in connection to its European net, profiting from the schedule arrangement in the Lisbon hub, as can be read in a communication from the company.

The new connections will start in July and, in a first stage, will last until September, which is the time when a market behavioural balance will be made to decide on the eventual maintenance of this destination in the offer of the Portuguese air company.

With the introduction of the Natal destination, TAP reinforces its leadership in the connections between that country and Europe, having 38 flights between Portugal and six Brazilian cities.

The new direct connections between Lisbon and Natal will take place on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with departure at 15h30 and arrival at 18h40, with return on the same days at 20h10 and arrival to Lisbon at 07h10 (the following day).
