From the 29th April to the 8th May, Lisbon transforms itself into the golf capital to receive about one hundred national and foreign players. Following the acclaiming, not only by the world golf press but also by the Lisbon International Association of Golf Travel Operators as “Established Golf Destination of the Year”, the 2004 Lisbon International Golf Tournament will take place in the capital.

This event aims at reinforcing the city’s image as a reference for the golf practice and Portugal’s as a privileged destination for the lovers of this sport. This event, wgich had its first edition last year, is organized by Team Frith.

The courses of Aroeira, Belas, Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta da Marinha Oitavos, Quinta do Peru e Tróia are the stage for the two big competitions of the 2004 Lisbon International Golf Tournament: the Costa Azul Classic and the Estoril & Sintra Classic, divided into daily stableford games, with full handicap or in a single 72 holes strokeplay game.
