The initiative "portoenorte.come" starts on the 23rd and 24th January on “Gastronomical Weekends", which involve over 600 restaurants in Porto and Northern Portugal.
The initiative’s main objective is to promote: a dish and a typical dessert of each of the 60 adherent municipalities. Marco de Canaveses will be the first town to receive the initiative with "roasted lamb with oven rice" and "slices of ash trees" on the menu.
To "portoenorte.come" culminates with the 1st International congress of food and wines from Porto and Northern Portugal, and the 1st “To the North” Food Fair, from the 21st to the 30th May 2010 in Porto's Customs Building.
