From the 7th to the 16th May, the traditional Algarve cooking will be on the spotlight during the 9th Gastronomy Festival of Portimão. The 9th edition of the Gastronomy Festival counts this year with the record participation of 22 restaurants representing three different zones of Algarve.
The beginning of the Festival will be celebrated with the book presentation of “À Mesa com a Nossa Selecção”, with the presence of the authors Hélio Loureiro, Chef of the Portuguese Football Selection, and Luís Lavrador, which is in the gastronomic team of the e National Selection, on the 7th May, by 5 pm, in the Salão Nobre of Câmara Municipal de Portimão.
This year’s edition counts with the publication of a guide which will present all the participating restaurants, its recipes and menus. This guide will be distributed before the beginning of the event, in partnership with the Correio da Manhã.
The 9th Gastronomy Festival of Portimão is sponsored by Correio da Manhã and has the support of Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve – Núcleo de Portimão, Confraria dos Enófilos e Gastronómica do Algarve, “Quinta do Morgado da Torre” wines and RDP/Antena1.
