The NATO Summit will take place in Lisbon, on the next 19th and 20th of November 2010, at FIL - Feira Internacional de Lisboa, Parque das Nações.
 
The meeting of the 27 European Union leaders and NATO members, will focus on weapons of mass destruction and proliferation of terrorism; its main objective is to reinforce the transatlantic alliance.
 
Simultaneously with the NATO Summit, the USA-EU Summit will take place, an annual meeting that includes European Union and USA leaders, as well as Barack Obama, president of the USA.
 
This is the first summit organized by Portugal since the Lisbon Treaty took effect; more than 5.000 people are expected for the event, between the official delegations and journalists.
