The Island of Madeira was considered the second best cruise destination in Europe at the “Cruise Awards 2010”, awarded at the Seatrade Med Cruise Convention.

The Seatrade Med Cruise Convention is the biggest Cruise and Ship Industry Fair in Europe, now running in Cannes.

Madeira is being represented by the Port Administration of Madeira, which considered the award "a recognition of great importance, specially because it was attributed by the companies and tourists who visit us", reported in the Jornal da Madeira.
