On the 12th May 2011, the streets of Valencia fill with joy, party and tomatoes...
The famous La Tomatina, is a true war where 140 tons of tomato are the motto to join the population and innumerous visitants who fill the city streets.
One of the most popular theories about the festival says that the unhappy residents attacked the councilors with tomatoes, during a city festivity. What happened to start the tradition, was pleasure, a repetition the following year and so on.
At the end of the festival the party ends with the population cleaning the streets.
