From the 24th to the 28th June 2011, the Italian city of Florence celebrates the renaissance of a soccer game from the 16th century.
The city and its inhabitants put on medieval suits and fireworks flood the skies, from the terrace gardens with a view of the city.
It was an urban game, carried out in the main public space of the city (piazza Santa Croce); it had fixed number of 27 players per team; stipulated the use of uniforms to distinguish them (a green group, another white); created the referee, (a total of ten), as well as a code of rules, made by Giovanni di Bardi.
