During the month of June 2011, the archipelago of the Azores is hosting a party!
Come and discover and enjoy the Sanjoaninas Festivities, related to the devotion of Saint John, that date back to to the 16th century and played a key role in the culture of the Azores.
They begin on Saint John´s day, the 24th of June 2011, with the opening procession and the royal march, the celebrations continue during several days, with various events that fill public places with animation, such as processions, theaters and music shows, parades, dances, games and the typical rope bullfights.
