On Saturday, 21st of May 2011, five new kiosks opened on Avenida da Liberdade.

The Quiosques Liberdade present, according to a press release, "an innovative concept" and aim to " enliven and revitalize Lisbon's principal artery.

They will be open all year around, seven days a week and from 09h to 23h (on weekends the closing time is extended until 02h).

Weekend evenings will be animated by live concerts and DJ's. With a terrace service, the kiosks will have natural and healthy food, pizza, "the best chocolate cake in the world", ice creams, amongst others.

With different themes, two of the kiosks are Banana Café, highlighting smoothies and natural fresh milkshakes, among other options.

In the remaining three, Hotdog Lovers, the pizzeria-restaurant Maritaca by chef Fausto Airoldi and the "best chocolate cake in the world" will be present.
