A castle, a convent and a ducal palace, built during distinct moments in time, gave rise to a beautiful work of eclectic architecture located in Crato, that arrives to the present day restored and transformed into the Pousada Flor da Rosa.
The history of this building begins in mid 14th century, when it was built by friar Álvaro Gonçalves Pereira, master of the religious and military Order of Malta that came to be based in the town of Crato.
