Estalagem Quinta da Casa Branca, a 5 star hotel in the centre of Funchal – Madeira, has recently obtained the HACCP certification– hazard analysis critical control points. This norm aims to control the requisites for the food producing companies and its suppliers, besides those that handle food products in its services. This certification gives a quality guarantee as far as the alimentary hygiene and all the food products served in its sales points are concerned. Quinta da Casa Branca has consequently become the first hotel unit, restaurant or similar to obtain this certification in Madeira, also being one of few to possess such a certification at a national level. All the implementation and follow-up process of this norm in Quinta da Casa Branca was coordinated by a team of 3 internal professionals taking almost 2 years. This certificate was developed in Denmark and was in the origin of the European norm DS 3027 E:1998 and has international acknowledgement, which promotes an international trust and stability before the tour operators and clients of the hotel, having been issued by APCER, a delegate of the Portuguese Quality Institute to proceed such certifications. |
