This year 2012 the Vila Joya's restaurant, an ARTEH® Hotel in the Algarve, guaranteed Portugal's entry for the first time on the list of 50 Best Restaurants in the World since the awards were created in 2002.

The restaurant, run by Austrian chef Dieter Koschina, has risen 35 positions to the 45th place and thus consolidates its reputation of best Portuguese restaurant.
