On the 16th edition of the Estoril Open, the Argentinian Gaston Gaudio, Roland Garros Champion, returns to Portugal with a new ranking.

The Estoril Open has become one of the main events on the European Circuit leading up to the Roland Garros Championship. Therefore having the winner of the World’s greatest clay court championship at Jamor is an exciting prospect.

João Lagos, the tournament’s director, will receive Gaston Gaudio, not only the current Roland Garros champion but also the only player to beat Roger Federer’s hegemony at the 2004 Grand Slam Tournaments. Gaston Gaudio heads a list of top players that will infuse sparkle into the 16th edition of the greatest annual tennis event organised in Portugal.
