From the 1st to the 8th of May, Lisbon will once again host the third consecutive edition of the tournament that has already become a point of reference in the international amateur circuit.

The Lisbon Golf Festival will start at the Costa Azul-Troia Golf, Aroeira II and Quinta do Peru Courses with a 72-hole stroke play, from the 1st to the 3rd of May. It will continue at the Quinta da Marinha Oitavos Golf and then at the Penha Longa, Praia d’El Rey, Belas and Quinta da Marinha Courses.

The competition will close with a gala dinner on the 7th of May. Besides the competitions on the course, the tournament offers plenty of liveliness by presenting the social and cultural life of the Lisbon Region, as well as uniquely combining the tradition and modernity of the capital with the western landscapes and Sintra, the sophistication of the Estoril and the charm of the Costa Azul.

Lisbon is considered a prime golf destination having been recognised as the “Established Golf Destination of the Year 2003” by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.
 
A recent survey conducted by the Lisbon Tourism Observatory revealed that foreign golfers appreciated the excellent access to the courses, the scenery, the easy reservation system and the quality of the accommodation. According to the survey, golf courses in Lisbon, mainly frequented by British, Scandinavian (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish), and German golfers are recommended by 98.5% of those interviewed and received an overall score of 8 out of 10.
