Located in the heart of Madrid, DL’s restaurant becomes the new benchmark for gastronomic style.

De Las Letras H&R is on the Gran Via, in Madrid’s Las Letras district, housed in an historic building that dates back to 1917 and has been designated a Madrid heritage site. The building beautifully combines the traditional (mosaic tiling, canopies, carvings, an original lift) with the modern (reflected in its interior design and its forward-thinking and innovative services), offering guests a new environment where past, present and future all come together.

It has 103 rooms distributed over six floors, all of them very light thanks to their high ceilings and large windows. Particularly notable are the walls of each room, which are painted in the hotel’s traditional colours of ochre, burgundy and orange and decorated with quotes from many famous authors and poets, thus paying homage to the hotel’s name. They each offer varying layouts and the most modern amenities (linen service, a book and CD library, the latest generation TV, music systems, free daily newspapers, etc.).

The restaurant is another of the hotel’s delights. Located on the ground floor and with direct access from both the street and the hotel itself, DL’s Restaurant is remarkable for its innovative design and daring décor, its black tables contrasting with its red walls. The effect is completed with an enormous designer bar and open-plan plate display. The restaurant seats 80 people and is laid out on three different levels, its tall windows filling the entire room with clear natural light.

De Las Letras H&R also offers a further luxury experience: Air Lounge, an innovative and sophisticated space on the building’s 7th floor. This is an ideal place to meet up with friends, have a drink or a light supper and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and spectacular night-time views over Madrid in a peaceful and relaxed setting.
