Experience, luxury and solitude in the private atmosphere at Quinta Rio Touro Sintra/Cascais Natural Park, which is classified as a World Heritage Site and is conveniently situated between the historic center of Sintra and the Cosmopolitan Estoril/Cascais, along the Atlantic coast.
Nearby is Lisbon for effortless travel as well as art, culture and all other attractions of a large European city.

Quinta do Rio Touro is the best start to do a one day journey to Arrábida and Setúbal, Mafra, Ericeira, Santarém, Óbidos and even Fátima, Coimbra or Évora.

The Quinta
When the land of the Quinta was purchased in 1994, it had been abandoned and was overrun with wild vegetation. On the property, some of the old constructions have been restored, and the Manor House maintains the original traditional architecture of the area.

Manor House
The accommodations at the Quinta are flexible enough for families and friends. At the Main House, amenities include private bathrooms for each bedroom, central heating, fireplaces, common areas, satellite television and a smoke-free environment.

The common areas are available for all Quinta guests and include a living room with fireplace, a terrace leading to the upper garden, open-air dining, a pool and changing area, restrooms, a sauna and an exercise room.

Both houses are decorated with antiques and treasures from the Reino’s diplomatic travels.

The main house has three guest rooms:
Azenha: this suite offers a bedroom with a queen size bed, a dressing room, a small den and a private balcony. The private bathroom has a Jacuzzi and an ocean view.
Acoteia: This suite has two twin size beds, a private bathroom, a balcony and a view to the ocean.
Mira Rio: Entrance, double bedroom and a complete bath. View to the river and to the valley.

There are accommodations for children in addition to the beds listed above.

The Guest House
The Guest House is in a valley about 100 meters from the main house and is available for rent as one unit or in suites. It sits among the Quinta’s organic agricultural crops. The quiet and tranquility leads many guests to walk among the flowers, vegetables and fruit trees. The Guest House quarters have modern comforts such as satellite television. Heat is provided by central fireplaces, but electric heating is available when necessary. The Guest House is also a smoke-free facility and offers two suites, a common room and a library/playroom.

There are accommodations for children in addition to the beds listed above.

Library: This room has thousands of books in different languages, on topics such as literature, art and travel. The library can serve as a playroom, a conference room for up to 14 people or as an artist’s studio. This room is open and accessible to all guests. The Guest House can be used separately, by one or two families, or by a group of friends.

Eco-tourism and Agro-tourism
While the Quinta is a family owned bed and breakfast where peace, serenity and relaxation dominate your experience, it is also a working organic farm. Guests may pick their own oranges straight from the trees or try the produce from the ground or off the vine.
Every guest find what they are looking for in the Quinta experience, whether ecologic, cultural or artistic. The agricultural production is certified organic and food may be consumed right from the farm as it is naturally fertilized and grown without pesticides. Guests are welcome to participate in the daily farm work. The landscape at the Quinta includes a plantation of thousands of lime and other fruit trees, pines and other specimens.

History, Culture, Art, Music and almost all sports
If the relation in peace and solitude becomes too much, the Guest may enjoy any number of attractions very close to the Quinta.
There are also many interesting monuments and museums as well as art, music and dance festivals in Lisbon region.

The surrounding natural landscape nearby is very rich and diversified, the Sierra and the cliffs to the sea, excellent for trekking and sightseeing promenades.
There also numerous beaches nearby, some very secret and secluded, internationally recognized for reinvigorating swimming, sailing, surfing, windsurfing and body board.
Others mat enjoy the area’s ten golf courses, a racetrack, horse riding, health clubs, a casino, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, etc.
