Rock in Rio - Lisboa is back for the biggest party of 2006. Bela Vista Park, in Lisbon, will be hosting the new edition of the World’s Biggest Music Festival which takes place out of Brazil for the second time of its history. On May, 27th and 28th, as well as on June, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, all roads will lead you to the City of Rock.
 
As in previous editions, the organization will donate part of the revenues to several Charity Institutions.
 
Some of the most outstanding names of the Portuguese and International Music Scene will be present during the five days of the Festival, attended by, as expected, over 500,000 people.
 
Bela Vista Park, which has a surface of nearly 200,000 square meters, is one of the best locations that the Rock in Rio festival has taken place. The valley terrain, surrounded by trees, is the perfect plot for the City of Rock’s structure.
 
Besides concerts, the festival’s organization also invites families to spend a wonderful and active day, enjoying all the Animation and other Events specially prepared for them.
 
On the spotlight for the 2006 edition that takes place in Lisbon for the second time, the organizing team has a few novelties to introduce. There will be an artificial Snow Ski Ramp and a Leisure Area for the children.
 
Some of the Bands are Shakira, Jota Quest, Ivete Sangalo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rui Veloso, Carlos Santana, Da Weasel, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd Founder, and Xutos & Pontapés.

Hotel Aviz

Palácio Belmonte
Lisbon’s most ancient palace, the Palácio Belmonte, is set in the historical city centre on the hill of the São Jorge Castle. The palace was built in 1449, incorporating three towers, on a forty metre boulder over the most ancient moor and roman walls in the city. In 1640, the construction of a terrace and five classical façades served to augment the palace.
 
Bairro Alto Hotel
