Choupana Hills Resort & SPA, an ARTEH® Hotel in Funchal, Madeira, is proud to announce the promotion of a jazz festival on its premises for three nights, from the 30th of August to the 1st of September 2007.

This initiative, named “Xôpana Jazz”, intends to leave its mark as a reference to music and jazz, not only on the island, but with an international projection, thus contributing to quality entertainment for both tourists and locals.

The festival lineup was tailored to present some of the “state of the art” working groups in jazz at the dawn of the 21st century.

Marco Franco Mikado Lab, Mário Laginha Trio, TGB, Abe Rábade Trio, Matt Pavolka Group and André Fernandes 4teto are the groups on agenda for three concerts that will have as venue the area surrounding the exterior pool of the Choupana Hills. These will be followed by jam sessions every evening at the Basalt Bar carried out by Rafa Four & Vânia Fernandes, some of the most talented jazz youngsters in Madeira.
