The new building, with approximately 175 thousand square meters, features a sport and leisure area, that includes four swimming pools (one is of Olympic size), a SPA, six movie theaters with digital equipment and commercial 3D, a hypermarket store, a food court (covering over 5 thousand square meters) and exterior terraces with a view of the Serra da Estrela and Caramulo mountain ranges.

According to the Visabeira Group´s vice president, Paulo Varela, the new Ice Palace "is not a pure mall, we didn´t want just another traditional shopping mall”.

“A great emphasis was placed on the sport and health components to mark the difference. Over 20 thousand square meters of gymnasium, SPA and swimming pools, make this sport and health zone the largest in the country”, complemented by 140 shops.
