Casas do Côro in Marialva - Portugal, are nominated in the category for “Most Excellent Guest House” in Europe, for Condé Nast Johansens “Awards for Excellence 2007”, along with: La Bastide Saint-Mathieu on the Cote d’Azur - France, Plęiades Luxurious Villas in Creta - Greece and Castel Peitraio in Italy.
Condé Nast Johansens is the biggest illustrated reference of independent hotels from which a team of over 50 local inspectors visit thousands of hotels and resorts in 50 different countries only to select the very best and recommend them through their Hotel Guides.
Besides the conclusions from their reports, the nominations are also based on evaluation forms filled out by the hotel’s guests, whereas it is the first time a Portuguese hotel has been nominated.

The “2007 Annual Awards for Excellence” ceremony will also be celebrating Condé Nast Johansens 25th anniversary and will be held on the 6th of November, in London, starting with a gala dinner at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge.
