Autumn arrived and with it, the first rains were already flooding the streets of the big metropolis when we decided to leave for other places. We headed in the direction of Southeast Algarve to Sagres. The small fishing villa in the extreme Vicentine Cost awaited us for a tranquil weekend.

Shortly after eleven we arrived at our destination, where the mild night´ silence and the sounds of nature suggested a walk, to unwind after our car journey. Along the avenue that connects the Memmo Baleeira to the centre of the village we found various lively bars and cafes.

On the following morning we woke up to the splendour of Autumn, with a magnificent sunny day shinning through the window. As we opened the terrace doors, the sea breeze filled our senses and the dazzling view over the ocean left us rapturous.

At the Memmo Baleeira we discovered a magical place which inspires and exudes serenity, a result of its design (the ball), the use of white, brown and blue colours and especially the natural surroundings. In this peace, where the blues of sky and sea melt together, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, natural juices, sweet cakes and the usual Algarve delicacies, while we rested our gaze over the ocean view.

In the morning we relaxed at the Memmo Baleeira, before we set out to discover the singular Sagres beaches. The hot afternoon was enjoyed in the sway of the waves, in the company of surf boards. In the evening, fresh fish awaited us for dinner among other typical delicacies of Southern Portugal.

In our memory is an unforgettable weekend, of fresh aromas, traditional flavours and the unique calm of this place, the Sagres village and the Memmo Baleeira where elected the ideal place for a short escape from routine.
