Tribute to Claudia 2013 at Vila Joya

From the 7th to the 17th November 2013 the Vila Joya, an ARTEH® Hotel at Algarve, receives the Tribute to Claudia - International Gourmet Festival which is one of the most highly regarded gastronomic events in the world.

This year a group of chefs is reunited once again, which joins more than 60 Michelin stars, that during eleven nights will parade through Vila Joya’s kitchen together with chef Dieter Koschina, presenting the best of haut cuisine allied with the best Portuguese and international wines.

The festival starts on the 7th with Dieter Koschina and Tsuyoshi Murakami. Followed by the Portuguese night on the 8th with starred chefs working in present national restaurants.

On the 9th the Swedish Bjorn Frantzén marks his presence and on the 10th the star is Joan Roca (with three Michelin stars and first on the best restaurants in the world list).

On the 11th, at 1pm, the Nuno Mendes will present a cooking demo for the press, followed by the Dutch night (The Royal Dutch) with the presence of Jonnie Boer, Hans van Wolde, Ron Blaauw, Jacob Jan Boerma, Erik van Loo and Janis Brevet.

On the 12th, at lunch time, the Spanish Quique Dacosta will present a cooking demo only for the press. The French Pascal Barbot will take over the night.

Klaus Erfort is the highlight of the 13th and on the 14th the Belgium Gert de Mangeleer.

On the 15th, at 1pm, the Brazilian Rodrigo Oliveira will present at Malhadinha Nova, a Brazilian BBQ. The evening is dedicated to Asian cuisine with the presence of David Thompson McDang, Herve Frerard, Ian Kittchai, Gaggan Anand, Kuhn Kla and Marco Westmaas.

At 1pm on the 16th, the Conrad Algarve will receive the Italian Delight, with the presence of the Heinz Beck and Enrico Cerea chefs. At night, the Vila Joya will present the Tsuyoshi Murakami, Rodrigo Oliveira, Jefferson Rueda and Alberto Landgraf chefs.

The lunch of the 17th, at 1pm, counts with the presence of Heinz Beck, Gaggan Anand, Kuhn Kla and Marco Westmaas at the Conrad Algarve for Thai Delight.

The closing night of the Festival, on the 17th, will be stage of the usual Koschina & Friends. This year, host Dieter Koschina and chef Matteo Ferrantino, will receive in their kitchen the Thomas Buehner, Juan Amador, Enrico Cerea, Andreas Caminada, Norbert Niederkofler, Sven Elverfeld, Mario Lohninger, Thomas Dorfer, Peter Knogl and Hans Neuner.

Similar to last year, the event will count with numerous parallel activities such as:

- 08/11/2013 (16h) - Olive oil tasting First Harvest Oliveira da Serra.
- 09-11 e 15-16/11/2013 (16h) - Special tastings Dom Pérignon.
- 13/11/2013 (16h) - Nahja Cork Workshop.
- 17/11/2013 (16h) - Esporăo wine tasting.
