From the 28th of October to the 1st of November, Paris Expo held the 12th edition of the Chocolate Fair at Port de Versailles, pavilion 5.

From the 2nd to the 12th of November another edition of the International Chocolate Festival will be held in the village of Óbidos (about 30 min from Lisbon).

In Lisbon, another edition of Festa do Chiado will be held between until the 21st of October. This mystical location of the Portuguese capital will unfold in numerous cultural activities and street entertainment with one goal, to promote the city culture and bring life to Chiado, an area that was once the nucleus of leisure before a great fire destroyed part of its history.

Running from March to October, Moto GP World Championship will be in Portugal, disputing the final fazes on the Estoril circuit from the 13th to the 15th of October.

The demarked region of Douro, recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage in 2001 and home to some of the Best Wines of Portugal, is the oldest demarked wine region in the world and is celebrating its 250th anniversary.

From the 5th to the 15th of October the world’s most famous musical, Cats, will be back in Lisbon at the Recreios Coliseum. The Portuguese population has anxiously awaited this return, for two years, as the 6 week performance flew by and many missed the opportunity to catch the show.

Performing at the Apolo Theatre in Barcelona, from the 21st of September to the 8th of October, the company Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía brings to life Cristina Hoyos’s “Viaje al Sur” (A Journey to the South).

Can there be a more romantic destination than a place called “Mount Moon”? The Sintra mountain range was so called, due to the sun and moon cults that were practiced there during past eras. On an exuberant strong green mountain, peeking over the Atlantic ocean, lays the village of Sintra, named Cynthia by the Romans and a poet and righter’s preferred destination, like Byron who even dedicated a couple of verses.

The 24th of September marks the start of a week’s celebration in honor of the Patron Saint of Barcelona, the Mare de Déu de la Mercé. Every year the festival puts together groups of musicians from all over the world which perform live in various locations of the city, Plaza del Fòrum, Avenida de la Catedral, Rambla del Rayal, el Moll de la Fusta, Plaza Catalunya, amongst other areas.

Monte do Casal will host a public presentation of a new project “First Private Botanical Garden at Algarve” from 7 to 8 pm on 8th September 2006.

Monte do Casal will hold a Champagne Cocktail Party on Friday 8th September to present the renovated Gardens, Lakes and future Bird Sanctuary, phase I of the new Botanical Garden Project. This is a new environmental concept… “Hotel surrounded by a Private Botanical Garden”. The presentation will take place on the Teak Sundeck Terrace overlooking the beautifully designed Lakes, with two magnificent Waterfalls and Water Fountains.
